The other day my son purchased a 99 cent app on my Kindle Fire. I finally learned today how to prevent my children from buying apps. Yay!
So this is how you set parental controls on the Kindle Fire, specifically preventing kids from buying apps. Let’s say your kid is playing a game on the Kindle Fire. Most games allow you to “purchase” coins or extra stuff, which can be very pricey.
- On your Kindle Fire
, go to the apps store.
- Once you are in the store, click the menu icon below.
- Then click settings.
- When you click settings, you will see an option for parental controls.
- At that point you can set your Kindle Fire to prompt users for a password before buying in store apps.
That’s pretty much it!
I hope you find this post helpful. Cheers.
